Welcome to our School Community. At Canungra State School we believe that central to learning is the relationships we form within our Community. We endeavour to support all students through the combined effort of school staff, parents, local businesses and residents and the Kokoda Barracks.
The Canungra School community is unique and special. It is a community in which we strive to value and respect each other and respect our school as a place of learning. With the Kokoda Barracks as part of our town, we welcome families from various parts of Australia and the world. We have families with a farming background as well as being involved in trades, businesses and other professions. Over the past 5 years we have maintained a steady growth in our student population.
Our staff is committed to achieving the best learning outcomes for every student and to create a physically and emotionally safe learning environment. We are dedicated to this task and encourage you to take an active part through regular contact with our staff.
You are always welcome to visit our school and discuss the welfare of your child/children with the class teacher, with me, with Kellie Fletcher our Deputy Principal or our HOSES Jonathon Morgan. We do ask you to arrange a suitable time. Matters of urgency will be dealt with as quickly as possible. Rest assured we will do our best for your child. Support us by developing and maintaining open lines of communication between home and school.
