Students from years 3 to 6 have the opportunity to train and participate in sporting gala days 3 times a year against schools in our area. These days include sports such as; Soccer, Cricket, AFL, Netball, Rugby League, Touch Football, Basketball and Softball/T-Ball.
We hold annual carnivals including; Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics for all year levels.
Canungra State School offers a Rugby League program for years 4 to 6, boys and girls, in which we attend multiple gala days hosted by NRL Queensland, where we compete against schools from all over the Gold Coast.
We are part of the Broadwater District within the South Coast Region. Identified students are given the opportunity to trial in certain sports within our district, if successful, they are then advanced to the South Coast trials. Canungra State School has been quite successful in the past with students representing the District and South Coast region in sports such as; Athletics, Soccer, Cross Country and Rugby League.
